WHEN Pip Baggs said 'I Will' to her partner's proposal, she envisaged a small wedding in a field with a couple of friends...
But that was before Rossendale Valley Motorbike Show got in on the act.
Her husband-to-be, Simon Tiller, rang her at the bike show's annual general meeting to see if she minded him announcing the wedding under any other business.
The next day, chairman Tony Winder rang her at work at Accrington and Rossendale College to ask if she would get married during the bike show.
So the simple wedding in a field is now to be a grand spectacle with an open top bus and a trike for transport as Pip leads the ride-in of some 1,500 bikes and at least 35,000 well-wishers!
The couple, of Osborne Way, Helmshore, have little to do with the wedding plans -- apart from turning up on the day.
And there will be no time for pre-wedding nerves for Simon, 35, because he'll be working at the bike show from 6am on his wedding day, on September 23.
Simon, a tele-sales consultant in Manchester, said: "Thanks to bike show member Keith Murray, the wedding has all been planned for us."
Pip, 35, said: "Friends and family ask us what is happening and we don't know because everybody else is organising it for us! My remit is to get a dress and turn up."
She is having her outfit specially designed and made by the Design Room, in Rawtenstall, and would only say it will bewas black and white and may include a traditinal biking material of leather.
Simon doesn't know what he is wearing yet, but Pip said she would be happy if he turned up in leather trousers, a shirt and a bow tie.
When guests toast the happy couple at St Mary's Chambers, Rawtenstall, it will be with cans of lager not champagne.
Organisers had hoped the wedding could have been held on the stage in Bank Street, but that wasn't legally possible.
A total of 70 family and friends will be at St Mary's Chambers, along with 50 VIP's from the bike show.
Pip's sister Barbara Brice, is her witness and she will also ride in a trike to the ceremony, which will be held on her daughter Rebecca's 18th birthday.
Pip is originally from the West Midlands and Simon from Portsmouth and both said it would be nice to have all their family and friends together in Rossendale.
Best man is Bill Riley from Water and Simon's two children Kathryn, 13 and Ben, 11, will be at the wedding. They both hope people will support the show and their wedding by donating money to charity.
Simon said: "If everyone gives £1 we will raise £35,000 for charity. It is certainly not going to be a traditional wedding!"
Anyone who wants to sponsor the wedding wish-list can contact the bike show office on 01706 227560.
