BLACKPOOL

BLACKPOOL and the Fylde Disabled Society is having a car boot sale at its centre on St Annes Road, Blackpool, this Saturday, August 11.

STEPHEN Burrows and Friends will be performing a concert on August 15 at North Shore Methodist Church, Bispham Road, Blackpool. The evening of song will begin at 7.30pm. Entrance fee is £3 per person and all the proceeds will go towards the church re-furbishment fund. For further details call 294640.

ST MARY'S scouts are holding a Fun Day on August 26 at The Dunes Hotel, Lytham Road, South Shore, Blackpool. All proceeds will go to the 23rd Blackpool Scout Group. Activities will start at 1pm.

POULTON

POULTON Swimming and Fitness Centre is running a series of intensive swimming lessons for children aged four and upwards throughout the summer holidays. Classes will run from 9am every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning of this month. Entry cost is £12.80 per week. To reserve a place call 891629.

LYTHAM ST ANNES

AN exhibition called Many a Stitch will be presented by the Lytham St Annes branch of the Embroiderer's Guild at the Assembly Rooms (formerly Lytham Baths) in Dicconson Terrace from August 10 to August 12 between 10.30am and 4pm . Entrance fee will be £1 per person.

THORNTON

THERE will be a jumble sale at Wignall Methodist Church, Victoria Road East, starting at 1pm on August 18. Admission will be 10p each, with all proceeds going towards the church funds.
