A GANG of teenagers violently attacked and robbed two young holidaymakers as they walked back to their hotel, off Station Road, Blackpool.
The incident happened at 5.15pm on July 26. Two young men befriended a 14-year-old girl and her friend. As they approached an alleyway, the thieves grabbed the girls and dragged them into it. They were then joined by another two youths and a girl, who went on to punch both girls and rip out their earrings.
The gang continued to be abusive and violent during the attack and stole other property including a Nokia mobile phone. When a passer-by intervened the group ran off.
One attacker was 5ft 7ins tall with a medium build. He was between 17 and 18 years of age and wore a white baseball cap. He is believed to be called Mark.
Another is described as 5ft 7ins tall, slim with a skin head. He was wearing a cream-coloured Liverpool football shirt.
A third was wearing shorts. All were white and spoke with Liverpool accents. The female attacker is described as being between 15 and 16 years old and 5ft 5ins tall with blonde hair tied up in a bun.
A MAN was punched in the head by a thief demanding his mobile telephone near the toilets on South Shore promenade at Squires Gate Lane, Blackpool.
It happened at 3.15pm on July 26. The thieves approached the 20-year-old man, asking him if he had a mobile phone. When the man replied "yes" one of the thieves punched him in the face and began swearing at him and demanding the phone.
The man, fearing for his safety, gave the phone to the thieves who then made off with it. Both thieves are described as being white, 5ft 8ins tall and approximately 16 years of age. One had a skin head and was wearing dark tracksuit bottoms and a black T-shirt.
The other was wearing red shorts and a blue T-shirt.
