STRIKER Mike Moseley could come into the picture as Radcliffe Borough go for a hat-trick of friendly victories at Salford City on Saturday.
Boro boss Kevin Glendon had talks with the Runcorn hitman on Tuesday night and is hoping to give him a run-out at Moor Lane (kick-off 3pm).
Boro will be looking to follow up their 3-2 victory at Curzon Ashton on Friday night with another win at Salford after beating Mossley 4-2 a week last Tuesday.
Richard Landon, Ryan Cain and Eamon Kelly all scored against Curzon to make it two each for them in the five warm-up games Boro have played already in preparation for the UniBond Division One kick-off at Eastwood Town on Saturday week.
Boro started the Curzon game with Dave Johnson in goal, a keeper formerly with the Boro, who left and has been playing in the Welsh League recently.
Johnson was filling in for regular No 1, Danny Hurst, who was attending a wedding.
Richard Battersby was at right back and the rest of the side was Andy Walker, Simon Kelly, David Bean, Tony Whealing, Eamon Kelly, Eamon Elliott, Scott Wilson, Richard Landon and Mark Carter.
Glendon used six substitutes, Ryan Cain, Paul Williams, Ross McNair, Lee Kissock, Dave Collins and Ian Lunt.
Striker is a position Glendon still has some concerns about after selling 22-goal leading scorer, Neill Hardy, to Stockport County at the end of last season.
Richard Landon has come in and Ryan Cain is continuing with a trial period at Stainton Park, but Glendon says: "I am still thinking about the strikers. We may still need to strengthen things in that department."
Moseley is just 21 and will be remembered for a hat-trick he scored against Boro for Runcorn in a cup game in the not too distant past.
Altrincham were hot on his trail at one time and if he does link up with Boro on a permanent basis, Glendon and his backroom staff will be hoping for a similar show of firepower as they continue their search for the right man to fill Hardy's boots.
Gus Wilson has returned from his coaching stint in America and will be available for the Salford game, but Glendon waits for fitness checks on Tony Whealing before naming his starting line-up.
Boro go to neighbours Ramsbottom United on Monday night (kick-off 7.30pm) for another friendly.
There are still three places left in the Community Sixes Wednesday night league at Stainton Park. Interested parties should ring 0161-724 8346.
Any teams or bodies wishing to hire the Stainton Park complex on Tuesday or Thursday evenings should also ring 0161-724 8346 to book in.
