STAFF at a Bury nightclub were forced back into the building during an armed raid.
As workers began locking up the Sol and Viva nightclub at 3.40am on Sunday (Aug 5), four men wearing balaclavas stormed the building in Rochdale Road. They were armed with a machete and baseball bats.
Staff were threatened by the raiders before they grabbed around £400 in cash. No one was injured.
The thieves then escaped in a black BMW car which had been stolen from Salford Quays. The vehicle was abandoned in Beech Street, Bury, where the men stole a white Rover car.
Anyone who witnessed the raid should contact detectives from Bury CID on 856 8150 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
