DAREDEVIL Dr Mike Finnegan took a 100ft leap of faith to raise money for charity.
The leading Bury lung consultant, along with Fairfield Hospital colleagues Sarah King, Louis Almond and Katie Topping, abseiled down Manchester Town Hall for the Bury and District Breathe Easy Group.
Together they raised around £1,000 in aid of research for the British Lung Foundation.
The daring team were cheered on by members of the Breathe Easy group, which gives support to respiratory patients. Group treasurer Doreen Ramsden said: "We were unable to take part ourselves because of our breathing difficulties.
"But we would like to thank Dr Finnegan and the other people for their support."
More than 60 people took the plunge to raise money for a variety of charities.
Anyone who would like to contribute to Breath Easy's efforts or would like to find out more about the group should ring 761 5393.
