AS the fire bosses 'fiddled' while St Helens burns, did they honestly think the army can cope?
These young soldiers were sent into a smoke-filled building (Aldi) wearing a scarf over their mouth and nose and wearing goggles. Who was in charge and gave the order? Or does the Health and Safety at work act not cover the armed forces?
Will this hazardous operation go on their record so they can claim compensation later in life when the effects begin to show?
GEORGE, Haydock (name and address supplied).
