CAN anyone explain to me why it is that the motorists of St Helens can park illegally for 362 days of the year without fear of being penalised, yet on the other three days when the St Helens Show is on they can be fined £100 for illegal parking near Sherdley Park?
Could it be that the police have nothing better to do on these days, or is it that this council would lose too much money on parking charges.
I suspect that the latter is the most likely reason.
