GUESS what... last week I was waiting in a queue of three ladies in Brook Street toilets.
A young woman with her young girl of about 3 years old, went in the cubicle and left her child outside in the toilet.
When the child wandered to the open door it took the three of us to keep the young child occupied to stop her running into Brook Street and into god knows what danger.
When the young mother came out of the cubicle she never acknowledged any of us or thanked us for stopping her child from wandering away.
With everything happening to children in the news, I would think all mothers would be aware of the dangers.
Most mothers are aware but it seems some need lessons in how to care for their young and not leaving it to others.
