LAST year Merseyside Police conducted three major telephone surveys with people who had been victims of burglary, violence or car crime.
I would like to take this opportunity via the Star letters page, to personally thank all those people who helped us by giving their viewpoint on the service they received from Merseyside Police. Unfortunately, we were unable to write to you individually, as the survey was confidential and anonymous.
The information from the survey has helped us enormously. It will change for the better the service we provide, when people turn to us for help. The survey will be repeated every year to make sure the changes we have put in place are reaching all the communities of Merseyside.
If you took part in any of the surveys last year and would like to know more about the results, we are holding a small, informal feedback event. This will take place on Thursday, August 30 between 12.15pm and 2pm in Liverpool. If you are interested in knowing more about the event please speak to Sergeant Lisa Jones on 0151 777 8583, who will happily give you more details.
Once again, thank you for your time and help in letting us know what is most important to you.
Norman Bettison, Chief Constable of Merseyside Police.
