A SLIP road on to the M65 was closed for about five hours after a lorry overturned.
The wagon, belonging to Hapton-based Fagan and Whalley Ltd, toppled on to its side on the west-bound slip road at the Hapton junction 9.
Part of the load of carpet underlay fell from the vehicle.
The driver suffered slight arm injuries and was taken to Blackburn Royal Infirmary for treatment.
The accident happened at 11.30pm and the slip road was closed until late into the afternoon.
Diversions were put into operation.
