Children come up trumps for hospice KIND-HEARTED students raised £300 for Wigan and Leigh Hospice.
The young fund-raisers, including special needs and physically impaired students from Wigan and Leigh College's Marshall Street complex, collected the money through a variety of sponsored events.
The students, aged 16-18, also helped out on Yellow Day -- the charity's prime fund-raising day, last month.
They presented a cheque to the hospice's Brian Halliwell, on the same day the as receiving their NVQ certificates.
Mr Halliwell said: "They boys and girls from the centre have been wonderful. Their help has been greatly appreciated." THANK YOU: NVQ students hand over £300 cheque to Brian Halliwell, of Leigh Hospice
