ACTORS from Culcheth have showed off their talents at an annual awards event.
Members of Culcheth Players recently attended the Cheshire Theatre Guild awards ceremony, where they received five nominations and scooped the Dramatic Achievement title.
The amateur dramatic group won the award for its production of Groping for Words, which was performed in May, at the regular venue of Culcheth Sports Club, in Charnock Road.
Nominations included Most Promising Male youngster, for Barry Evans in Spring and Port Wine, Most Promising Female youngster for Natalie Smith in Good Old Summertime, Best Actor for Albert Sawyer in Groping for Words and Best Overall Production Groping for Words, directed by Jim Jones.
Their next production will be House Guest, a thriller by Francis Durbridge, which will be performed from October 10-13, and is to be directed by Christine Urmston.
Culcheth Players are always looking for new members to take part in both acting and non-acting and anyone interested should come along to the Culcheth Sports Club on Monday nights at 8pm, or contact Fiona on 01942 276840.
