MARK Moorcroft, 33, of Whitendale Crescent, Blackburn, was given a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay £55 costs by Blackburn magistrates after pleading guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Northgate.
The court heard that police called to a disturbance outside the Grapes pub found 10 men shouting and swearing at each other.
Moorcroft became aggressive towards an officer when asked to calm down and was arrested.
Basharat Ditta, defending, said Moorcroft had been caught up in an incident inside the pub and been thumped in the eye.
