NELSON will test themselves against Ramsbottom tomorrow when the two meet in the final pre season friendly at Victoria Park.
The Blues just missed out in the final game of the season on clinching a place in the NWCL Division One where they would have been facing the Rams on an equal footing.
They are aiming to go that one step further this season and boss John Bailey has strengthened his squad.
"We are hoping to have five new faces by the start of the season," said the boss, who is expecting to complete all the deals next week.
Colne FC will unveil a few new faces at the Holt House on Saturday when the NWCL Division Two side play their final pre-season friendly against Southport of the Vauxhall Conference. (KO 3pm).
Accrington Stanley and Clitheroe will meet again at the Crown Ground tomorrow seven days after the Blues beat the Reds 3-2 at Shawbridge.
Last weekend goals from Jason Jones, a strike on his debut from Richard Fogarty and a third from Neil Spencer sunk UniBond Premier Division side Stanley.
And now the North West Counties Division One side -- who hope to be challenging for the title once more this coming season -- are looking for the double.
But Stanley are likely to put a much stronger side out.
"They only had four or five first-teamers out last weekend," said assistant manager Lee Sculpher. "And when we arranged another game afterwards they said they would put a stronger team out.
"They must have thought we were a good test. Either that or they think they can use us to build confidence!"
Also in action tomorrow are Great Harwood, who take on Bacup at the Showground.
UniBond First Division Chorley are at home to Premier Division Leigh RMI.
UniBond League newcomers Rossendale play Burscough at home and also send a team to play North West Counties Second Division side Padiham at the Arbories.
