ST HELENS Employment Service is launching a local campaign to highlight their ongoing service which aims to encourage people aged 50 or over to find work.
New Deal 50 plus, which has been running for almost two years, is a valuable package designed to get people over 50 back to work and from Monday, August 13, the Job Centre will be targeting all those who are eligible to apply, but do not know about the scheme.
Designed for those who have been receiving benefit for the last 6 months or more, the programme offers employment credit, relevant training for your job and personal advice, as well as a range of support to improve your chances of finding the right job.
Alternatively, if you want to start your own business or become self-employed, then New Deal 50 plus may be also able to help.
If you would like to find out more about New Deal 50 plus then look out for representatives from the Employment Service who will be out and about in libraries, supermarkets and other locations across the borough.
