YOUNGSTERS got the chance to beat the summer holiday boredom by playing sports and games in Burnley town centre.
While mums hit the shops, delighted youngsters from Burnley and Pendle enjoyed a fun time on the last weekend before they are due to return to school.
Yesterday at the bandstand and on St James Street there was a Scalextric racetrack, penalty shoot out for soccer fans, pool, golf and other games.
Keen Cricket fans took tips from Lancashire League cricketer Ian Austin.
At the bottom of Manchester Road there was a bouncy castle, ride for small children, face painting and a roadshow with Lancashire County Cricket Club.
Today the fun continued with a magic show, escapologist Andy Farrell performing stunts and a Basil Fawlty look-a-like John Parkin.
