A PARTY ended in bloodshed when a 'growling' car salesman sank his teeth into his girlfriend's next door neighbour, a court heard.
Burnley magistrates heard how victim Andrew Black's partner had accused a man of "chatting her up" at the bash and later slapped him across the face.
Defendant Mark James Hollingworth said the man, his girlfriend's father, Vincent Magee, was a happily married man.
Hollingworth and Mr Black scuffled, rolled down the garden and the defendant bit into Mr Black's face.
Hollingworth, 20, of Gisburn Road, Blacko, admitted assault causing actual bodily harm and was fined £200, with £300 compensation and £65 costs.
David Macro, prosecuting, said Mr Black was angry when his girlfriend came home from a workingmen's club and claimed Mr Magee had made "advances" and comments to her.
Mr Black heard shouting in the street, saw his girlfriend, Hollingworth, Mr Magee and "everybody shouting at each other."
Geoff Ireland, defending, said a "six of one and half a dozen of the other," scuffle started and the pair rolled down the garden.
