IT's all change at Rossendale Hospice and the charity is hoping the introduction of the Euro in 12 foreign country will spell ££££ for their appeal.
Anyone who comes back from their holiday with coins from a country which is adopting the Euro next January is asked to donate them to the hospice.
The money will no longer be worth anything abroad once the Euro is introduced but, by leaving it at branches of the Abbey National, it can be turned into much-needed money for the local hospice, based at Rossendale Hospital.
The charity can also turn old medals, jewellery, watches and old sterling into funds.
A spokesman said: "Every year holidaymakers come home with foreign currency that they haven't been able to spend, even with last-minute efforts to do so. We would be very grateful if they passed it on to us as we can convert it into sterling."
