RMI boss facing selection dilemma
LEIGH RMI manager Steve Waywell has been left with a selection headache ahead of Saturday's Conference curtain-raiser with Hayes as both Dino Maamria and Marcus Hallows scored in the 4-2 defeat of Chorley.
Maamria netted his third goal in RMI colours but Chorley drew level when Andy Mason scored following errors from Ian Swan and Monk.
RMI re-established their advantage when Hallows - a second half replacement for young forward Troy Hayder - stabbed home Ian Monk's left wing cross. David Such evened matters again nine minutes from the end, the 18th goal Leigh have conceded in nine pre-season games, a worrying sign ahead of the big kick-off.
Swan popped up to net the third and Tony Black secured the fourth victory of the summer for the Railwaymen.
Ex-Bolton midfielder Steve Thompson was forced to withdraw from the side with a recurrence of his knee injury.
