STAN Ternent will not be seeking a replacement fixture for tomorrow night's postponed friendly clash with Premiership champions Manchester United.

The Turf Moor meeting was called off due to United's squad being depleted by international call-ups and Ternent felt that the decision was right and that he will not seek another game before next Saturday's first home game of the League season against Wimbledon.

"We are not looking for a game to replace the one against United," confirmed Ternent.

"I spoke to Sir Alex Ferguson last week and due to their large number of international call-ups we agreed that it was better that the game was played at a later date.

"It really is no problem and we will train through the week as usual."

Next weekend's opponents made a good start with the Dons 3-1 winners over Birmingham City at Selhurst Park with new strike partnership Neil Shipperley, who cost £750,000 from Barnsley, and David Connolly, a free agent who had been with Feyenoord in Holland, both scoring.
