THE mother of an eight-year-old girl who was the victim of a terrifying sex attack has told of her daughter's ordeal.
The Blackburn mum said her daughter was walking back from shops in the Bank Top area of town when a man driving a Spacecruiser-type vehicle pulled up beside here.
The incident is being connected to a series of indecent assaults reported to police in the area in the last week.
A four-year-old girl was attacked at the rear of a house last Sunday.
The mother of the latest victim said: "He got out and asked her to help him look for some puppies. Then he got hold of her by the arms and dragged her into a garden."
Police confirmed that the man forced the little girl into a shed and told her to sit on a shelf and look through a hole in the wall for the puppies. He then committed an indecent act.
The eight-year-old fell to the ground but still managed to get out of the shed and run from the garden.
"I just want to see him in jail," she added.
Police are questioning a 33-year-old man from the Manchester area, who was arrested on Friday night about a series of indecent assaults in the Bank Top/Johnston Street area of Blackburn.
They are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 10254 512512 or 0800 555111.
