YET another national day has been decreed for August 13 -- this one celebrating left-handers' day.
But this one could create some good for those of us who don't realise how difficult it is to be kibbo.
To celebrate, Tyldesley left-hander Lynn Heaton, and her right-handed friends, Samantha Sanderson, Katy, John and Leanne Crowther, will be setting up a stall in Tyldesley Square.
They will be showing those of use who take right-handed life for granted a selection of left-handed and right-handed equipment -- like potato peelers -- so that we can see at first hand just how difficult life can be on a daily basis.
Lynn, of Ennerdale Road, says the worst thing she encountered as a left-hander was writing in class, but she has had to adjust to carrying out most everyday tasks, including using a computer.
Thankfully, things have at least improved over the years. Cack handers no longer have their left arm strapped down to be forced to use their right hand. That must have been horrendous for the poor children.
Any good left-handed tales out there?
