WE are constantly being told of the serious consequences of global warming, but I think East Lancashire is immune to this!

The heating in my home has been on during May and June and in the first two weeks of July. Up to then I counted six hot days this summer!

Weather forecasts for our region are largely inaccurate, 'Occasional showers' means heavy rain all day.

Sometimes people with good eyesight, may, after long staring, perceive a dull glow behind mountainous clouds. Yes! The sun!

I was told at school (a long time ago) that the sun is 90 million miles away. I estimate that it is far more than that!
