REGARDING the proposed mansion to be built in the green belt (LET, August 8), I do not have a problem with it.
Consider recent developments in the Ribble Valley, such as the large structure at Brockhall, the Rovers football academy that looks like an aircraft hangar.
This structure blends in with the environment due to the skilful use of trees surrounding it.
At Barrow, a few housing estates have sprung up and they blend satisfactorily. In the same area the new industrial estate tastefully blends in with the environment.
The Brockhall developments are superb and, considering that Mr Gerald Hitman has been closely involved with that scheme, I have every confidence that he will enhance the Ribble Valley with his proposed new structure.
