RESIDENTS in the Waterside and Vivary Bridge areas of Colne are taking advantage of the Giz-a-Start scheme funded by Pendle Partnership to improve their career chances.
They can benefit from free training, advice and educational courses at the new Waterbridge Resource Centre, in Rigby Street, while having transport and childcare costs paid for them.
A presentation evening of certificates to some of the people who have been involved in the scheme was due to be held tonight at the centre.
