A GOSPEL handwritten to celebrate the second millennium has been presented at St John's Methodist Church, Albert Road, Colne.
Colne Bible Action Group organised the presentation of the gospel on Saturday when speakers included the Rev Gay Pye and Bible Society county representative John Bisson.
All churches in Colne took part in writing out Luke's Gospel and each paid £1 to write a verse, people from America and Germany also got involved while they were visiting friends in the area. The completed gospel raised more than £800 and will now go on permanent display at Colne Library.
Marilyn Folley, secretary of Colne Bible Action Group, is pictured with the gospel, along with Rev Laurence Potter and John Bisson.
