ELGA champion Michael Hunt made a solid start to the Eden Tournament at St Andrews, Scotland, with a three-over-par 73 in the first round of qualifying yesterday.
The Burnley 22-year-old will play the last 18 holes of qualifying on the New Course at St Andrews today. Yesterday's round was played on the Eden Course.
Burnley club-mates Danny George and Dominic Marquis scored 82 and 84 respectively.
The top 64 players go through to the matchplay stage on Wednesday.
