AN early morning fire caused extensive damage to the first floor of Moorhouse's Brewery in Burnley. It is thought to have started in a fridge in the canteen.
Fire crews were called at 12.48am and found the first floor well alight.
Station Officer Paul Harvey said: "The fire was caused by an electrical fault in the cooler and caused quite serious damage to the canteen and a corridor."
Heat and smoke damage was caused to an upstairs office. The fire spread into the roof void and the thermal imaging camera from Accrington was used to check for possible hot spots.
Managing dirctor Malcolm McDonald was unavailable early today but staff at the brewery said it would be production as normal as soon as a gas boiler had been checked.
Warehouse supervisor Peter Curran is pictured examining the damaged roof of the canteen.
