Clarets star Glen Little put transfer speculation behind him today and instead concentrated on the task ahead for the Clarets.
Turf Moor boss Stan Ternent yesterday denied that Sunderland had made a bid for the wing star.
And Little is just happy to be making the first team line-up after last season which was interrupted by injury.
"I aim to play the whole season this time around and if I can do that then, hopefully, I will play well."
And like the rest of the Clarets set-up, Little is hoping Burnley can go one better this time.
Said Little: "We finished seventh last season and if we can improve on that, then we'll be in the play-offs," added Little, who played a starring role in Sunday's 2-0 win at Sheffield Wednesday - the first game of the new Nationwide Division One campaign.
"Now we're off to a good start and we want to carry that on," he said.
"It was a good performance and we were very pleased with the result."
Little continues to be linked with a move to the Stadium of Light but Ternent yesterday confirmed that there had been no contact from Sunderland about him.
The Clarets are now preparing to face Wimbledon's new £750,000 buy from Barnsley Neil Shipperley at Turf Moor on Saturday.
The 26-year-old marked his League debut for the Dons with a goal in the 3-1 home success over Birmingham City on Saturday, but was brought off after an hour having suffered a thigh injury.
"I got a knock in the first half and it was giving me a few problems so I came off," said Shipperley.
"I had a bit of a hamstring twinge in the week before the game, but that is fine now I will have some treatment on my leg through this week and it should be fine for Burnley."
Shipperley formed a new striking partnership with David Connolly, a potential barhgain on a free from Futch giants Feyenoord, and he was effusive about the new pairing.
"David looked very sharp, he is very quick and his movement is good and I think we compliment each other well," said Shipperley.
"I thought we played some nice stuff at times so we can't complain too much for a first outing."
