THERE was a great response to my recent letter regarding the reunion later this month of the 1961 intake of girls at Blackburn High School. We have tracked down about 20 former pupils from Form 1B.
We will meet at the school (Buncer Lane, Lower building) on Friday, August 24 at 10am. The present headmaster, Mr Gosling, will show us around the school and give us coffee in the staff room. This will then be followed by a buffet lunch at the County Hotel, Preston New Road, Blackburn.
Everyone is looking forward to a great day with lots of catching up and reminiscing! We have even had a couple of good luck messages from former teachers and on the day we have lots of information to pass on regarding the 'Old Girl's Association,' which was formed many years ago and meets annually.
