ROVERS boss Graeme Souness has said Frenchman Franck Queudrue has looked good in his spell at Ewood so far.
The 22-year-old Lens defender has spent just one day with the Ewood squad and will be training for the next few days at Brockhall.
"It's just a case of us having a look at him and him having a look at us at the moment but I've got to say he did impress yesterday," said the Rovers chief.
"He has though only spent one day with us and he will be playing a small game with us this morning.
"It is not really fair to call him a trialist as he is a Premier Division player over in France.
"He has done well so far though."
Queudrue has come through the ranks at Lens, played 22 League and cup games last season, and was recommended to Souness by a third party.
He has been valued at around £3m by some sources in France but it is unlikely Rovers will pay out that kind of money for a player who is relatively inexperienced at the top level.
