WATCH out for lane closures!
Megabowl in Pilsworth is shutting this weekend for a £1 million refurbishment.
The doors shut at 7pm on Sunday (Aug 20) to allow work to begin. And an additional £24,000 will be spent on a grand re-opening ceremony on October 19.
Currently, the Pilsworth complex employs around 50 staff. Some will continue work on site at a temporary sales office while the remainder will work at Megabowl branches nearby.
Sales manager Ian Ratcliffe said: "Megabowl opened in Pilsworth in the late 1980s and it underwent a refurbishment five years ago."
Commenting on the refurbishment at the 30-lane complex, Mr Ratcliffe added: "We will be installing a new scoring system and the bar, reception and the whole look of the place will change dramatically."
