A RADCLIFFE-based travel agency has booked itself a potential national award for its service to disabled customers.
Now, staff at the Thomas Cook shop in the town's Blackburn Street will be nervously awaiting the finals of a special competition to be staged in October.
Cook's Radcliffe premises have been nominated for a national award which recognises exceptional service to disabled customers.
The EASE (Ease of Access, Service and Employment) awards are organised by the Queen Elizabeth's Foundation for Disabled People in conjunction with Disability Matters.
The annual awards are given to companies that strive to make a difference to the lives of disabled people.
Thomas Cook's Blackburn Street shop is one of 21 company outlets recognised this year by disabled customers.
Diane Wright, manager of the Radcliffe branch, said: "It is an honour to receive the nomination, which means all the more to us as it has been made by the people who matter most -- our customers.
"This really illustrates that at Thomas Cook the individual needs of the customer come first."
The award winners will be announced at a ceremony in London in October.
