JAZZ lovers are in for a treat at the next Feast of Jazz night, on Sunday, August 19.
The Roy Potts Five and a Penny band are playing at the Centenary Room of the Fulwood Bowling Club on Blackpool Road in Preston.
The music starts at 8pm, and admission costs £3.50.
THE ADELPHI pub on Cross Street in Preston, is hosting a general knowledge quiz night on Thursday, August 15.
The quiz starts at 7pm, and entry is free.
STRETTLES bar on Fylde Road in Preston is hosting a Northern Soul night on Saturday, August 18.
The evening features music from DJ Roman, and starts at 8pm. Admission is £3 on the door.
COMEDIAN Jimmy Cricket will be the star attraction at a charity evening at the BAC English Electric Sports and Social Club in South Meadow Lane, Preston, on September 14.
Tickets are on sale now for the event and any funds raised will be doubled by the BAE Systems Charity Challenge scheme and given to St Catherine's Hospice and Derian House Children's Hospice. CHART toppers Steps are to headline the switch on of this year's Blackpool Illuminations.
Claire, Faye, H, Lee and Lisa will be joined by other big name celebrities from the music world to flick the famous switch during a live broadcast on BBC Radio 2 from the resort's Talbot Square on Friday, August 31.
