INTERNATIONAL band Joe Le Taxi are set to impress audiences at Leyland's Music in the Park this Sunday.
The blues band, heavily influenced by the traditional sounds of America's deep south, have packed the dance halls of England, Holland, France and Belgium.
Now Joe Le Taxi are joining an all-star line up at Music in the Park, an alternative to the cancelled Leyland festival.
From 1-11pm, on Sunday, August 19, Worden Park will ring to the sounds of around a dozen Blues, Cajun (French Canadian), jazz and Zydeco (music from south west Louisiana) bands. Each part of the day will feature different bands, all setting the mood for the hours to come.
The early afternoon features a free and easy when musicians can have a go themselves or sit back and listen to the sounds of 'Shredded Feet', while being entertained by Cajun dance workshops.
Then the Yarrow River jazz band takes a two-hour slot in the early evening from 4pm playing traditional New Orleans Jazz.
And as night falls, the 'Bop in the dark', headlined by Joe Le Taxi, will complete the event in a southern mix of blues and jazz.
