A FYLDE youngster has been awarded a special school prize for being a model pupil. Jade Earley (above) of Heaton Road, St Annes, won Clifton Primary School's annual "Fair Play" award recently for being helpful and happy during her seven years at the Clitheroe Road school in Ansdell.
The 11-year-old, who is due to start at Lytham St Annes High School in September, said that, although several pupils won awards, the Fair Play trophy is unique and she could keep it for a year.
She said: "I was very shocked when I won it. I got it for being helpful and doing good work. My friends think it's good, and when the teacher said the winner was cheerful and always helping they all looked round at me.
"My parents said 'well done'. They were very pleased and we went out for a meal to celebrate." Dad Jeremy said: "I'm chuffed to bits and I am very proud of her."
