IT'S quid-a-kid day at Gigg Lane tomorrow and Bury boss Andy Preece wants his side to make it a day to remember.
Newly-relegated Queens Park Rangers are the attractive opposition and it's hoped they go the way of another relegated side, Tranmere Rovers, last weekend.
The Shakers got off to a flying start at Prenton Park last Saturday, defeating Rovers 2-1 to shock the pundits.
But Preece is wary of what can happen after such a result and will be on guard against a Rangers side who will provide stiff opposition.
The Loftus Road club defeated highly-fancied Stoke City last weekend thanks to a first half effort from Andy Thomson.
And only this week they were boosted by the acquisition of striker Ebeli M'Bombo a 20-year-old Zaire-born player who is having his wages and accommodation sponsored by two fans!
"That win against Stoke will give Rangers a lot of confidence," said Preece.
"Ian Holloway's teams are always difficult to beat and we wouldn't expect anything less from QPR.
"They have a lot of new personnel and will be looking to make a quick return to Division One." The cautious boss recalled last season when the Shakers followed up a 1-0 win at Cambridge United with a 4-1 home mauling at the hands of Wrexham seven days later.
"We'll go into the game confident, but not over-confident," he added. "We will keep in mind what happened last year and don't want a repeat of that.
"Hopefully tomorrow will be the first of two big home crowds for us with Sheffield Wednesday down here in the Worthington Cup on Tuesday.
"Our fans were superb at Tranmere last weekend and I hope some who attended the Manchester United game will stick around.
"The club have put on some good deals for the supporters and it's up to the players to do the business on the park and give them something to cheer about.
"And if they like what they see, hopefully they'll be back."
Preece expects to stand by the sixteen players on duty last weekend plus central defender Danny Swailes who is eligible after being suspended.
Newcomers George Clegg and George Syros have settled in well during the week and Greek signing Syros received his international clearance yesterday.
Though it may be early for him to make his debut this weekend according to reports from the training ground he looks a class act and Preece could be tempted to throw him in.
Syros played in 34 of his club Akratitos' 36 league games last season as they won promotion to the Greek Premier Division.
