VICTORIAN graves hidden beneath undergrowth in a Hindley parkland have been restored to pristine condition.
The forgotten graves on land off Bridge Street were part of the Bridgecroft Methodist Chapel which closed in the 1950s.
They were rediscovered earlier this year when councillors inspecting a nearby road came across them and decided to restore them.
Money from Wigan's Brighter Borough Fund was used to remove undergrowth obscuring the tombstones.
The plots have now been restored and cleaned and there are plans to build railings round them.
