A CHARITY Funday at Morrisons store, Boundary Road raised £1,161 for the supermarket chain's chosen charity of the year, Save the Children.
Store General Manager, Jim Toohey, said: "We'd like to say a big thank-you to everyone who came along and joined in the fun. The staff put a huge effort into making the day a success, but we couldn't have raised such a fantastic total without the kind-hearted generosity of our shoppers".
Customers were treated to a wild west bonanza as staff dressed the part as cowboys and took it in turns to wear a nine-foot inflatable cowboy costume.
The Grand Charity Raffle also proved a big draw with more than 100 prizes are up for grabs, including four top-of-the-range cars, weekend breaks abroad and flying lessons. Winners will be notified shortly.
