A PEDIGREE dog which went missing on Thursday has been found by a passer by and returned to its grateful owner.
Linda Taylor, of Wellington Terrace, Accrington and her daughters Nikita, 14 and Megan, 16, were "relieved and delighted" to be reunited with their dog Tylor, after a teenager spotted the red Staffordshire Bull Terrier tied to a pallet.
The 17-year-old good Samaritan had spent all of Thursday trying to locate the owners of the dog, and after calls to the police, it was traced to the Taylor family.
The teenager did not say where he found the dog, which had vanished from the office of K and L Builders on the Richmond Industrial Estate, where Mrs Taylor works, at 2pm.
But the company director still stands by yesterday's revelation which surfaced during her search that dog fighting was taking place in Accrington.
She said: "We are very relieved to have have found Tylor, but I spoke to so many people while looking for for him who told me that dog fighting was going on. I still believe it to be true.
" I would like to thank the youngster who helped us.
She added:" I've absolutely no idea why Tylor was stolen in the first place."
