AN East Lancashire woman has died a week after being knocked down on Blackpool's Central Promenade.
May Holden, 77, of Hall Park, Haslingden, was involved in a collision with a Vauxhall Cavalier car while she was crossing the busy promenade road with her husband Fred, 76, at 10.30pm on August 13.
She died yesterday teatime in the Royal Preston Hospital.
Mr Holden was allowed home from Blackpool Victoria Hospital shortly after the accident.
Mrs Holden was being treated for serious head and leg injuries when she died.
Her husband also suffered head and leg injuries in the accident.
Police are investigating the incident and are appealing for witnesses.
