A COLNE production company has built a website which could become a focal point for disabled people across the country.
The site, which is entitled 4dp.com, was created by Redmammoth production company, on the same site as Preston's garage in Crown Way.
It is aimed at the estimated eight million people with disabilities in the UK, their friends and carers, and businesses or organisations catering for them.
Konrad McLean, art director at Redmammoth, said: "The brief was to create a site that would serve to strengthen organisation/ company/ public user relations through the Internet. It helps people with disabilities find news, events, holidays etc."
Registered members can search for events, articles, products and services by typing in their postcode.
Businesses and charities can also register and choose from the bronze, silver or gold services available.
The site will also enable people to buy products online and will include a recruitment section for people with disabilities and those seeking to work with them.
Neil Allday, chief executive of 4dp, said: "We came to Redmammoth on a recommendation.
"The project was completed in 16 weeks and it has already been a tremendous success."
