VISITORS were able to admire a flowering of local talent at Derwent Hall Gardening Club's 12th annual show.
The hall in George Street, Darwen, was packed with entries by club members.
There were flowers and plants and a special section for jams and cakes and bring and buy plant sale.
Viewers were allowed into the hall after judge, Dianne Harrison, had made her decisions.
Club member Beatrice Miller said: "The day went wonderfully well.
"We had a steady flow of visitors through the doors all afternoon and there seemed to be more people than last year which was very encouraging.
"There didn't seem to be as many members entering though but it didn't show because the room looked full and the standard of entries was extremely high.
"Overall everyone had a really good day and a very enjoyable afternoon."
