VISITORS to Pendle Heritage Centre over the Bank Holiday weekend will get the chance to see and even handle rescued wild birds.
The birds are from the Owls and Hawks rescue centre at Trawden, formed in 1995 by Andrew Rushton.
His knowledge prompted people to bring injured birds to him, along with orphaned chicks and birds people could no longer care for.
Andrew has released many back into the wild but some have to remain in care at the centre.
The birds will be on display at the 18th century wall garden heritage centre, Barrowford, on Sunday and Monday from 10am to 4.30pm.
Admission is £1 for adults and 50p for children (with further concessions for large families). All proceeds will go to the upkeep of the rescue centre.
