PEOPLE in Bacup will be consulted this weekend on how they want their town develop over the five years.
Bacup Consortium and Groundwork Rossendale are working together to gain ideas for proposed environmental improvements for the initial first year of the single regeneration budget money.
The two organisations will be holding a market stall on Saturday with questionnaires and providing information for people from Bacup to fill in and take away.
When the views of the public are known, designs will be developed which will go out for further consultation.
Questionnaires will also be delivered to local households which surround earmarked projects.
Two areas under consideration are a wall of history at the bank gardens and creating a small garden at the bottom of Rose Bank Street.
Other areas planned for improvements are the corner of James Street and King Street and the fountain.
In the first year improvements for the town centre are being looked at.
