MARK Stevenson has won a top award by being elected a National Boys Club member.
Mark, 17, a voluntary worker at Burnley Boys Club, took the award at candidates' week in Birmingham when youngsters from all over the country were put through an intensive week of activities.
It including preparing a video and report of the views of young people about today's society, an overnight expedition, outdoor assault course and 40 hours of worm on behalf of the Burnley club, county, national and international clubs. He also took part in organising an end of week concert.
Mark, who lives in the Barden Lane area near the club where he had been a member for 10 years, received a certificate in recognition of his national award.
