MUGSHOTS of people wanted in connection with racial disturbances in Burnley in June may be released by police.
The on-going major inquiry has already resulted in the arrest and charging of more than 30 people.
They have mostly been to court charged with offences of violent disorder.
They were mostly identified through examination of thousands of feet of CCTV footage and video film from police at the scene of the riots.
DCI Andy Johnson said: "Our inquiries are continuing.
"We still have people to trace and arrest.
"We have been slightly more fortunate than our colleagues at Bradford who have released photographs of sixty people they wanted to interview in connection with the troubles over there.
"We have been able to identify many of those on our film footage in Burnley.
"The publication of photographs and appeals to the public for help in identifying those concerned is something we have under consideration.
"So far it is something we have not needed to do but it remains a possibility."
The people arrested so far have all been local to Burnley and East Lancashire and have come from both sections of the community.
DCI Johnson added: "There will be further arrests. We still have a team of 30 detectives in Burnley working on the inquiry."
