SPORTS crazy children had fun in a mini-games tournament this week as part of the finale to a summer of sports events organised by Preston Borough Council.
The children - all aged between five and nine - have all enjoyed the council's special Holiday Playschemes Programme.
Football, hockey and baseball were just of the sports enjoyed at the event held at Preston Sports Arena.
Throughout the summer hundreds of children have been entertained at Council playschemes and sports events. The success of these events was marked with the grand finale, which also saw Preston's very own Summer Olympics.
Coun Veronica Afrin - executive member for Community and Leisure Services said: "Our packed leisure programme is really popular.
"From swimming to baseball, the Council runs a year long programme of leisure activities.
"These special summer activities and playschemes bring enjoyment for all and the finale was spectacular.
"Well done to everyone involved!"
