POP hopeful Jessica Taylor, from Preston, has given her first performance in public as a member of the band Liberty -- a rival group to chart-topping Hear'Say.
Jessica, 20, from Mulberry Avenue, Penwortham, hit the headlines earlier this year as one of the wannabes in ITV's hit show Popstars.
Despite reaching the finals Jessica and Abbey Village resident Kevin Simm, 20, failed to be selected by 'Nasty' Nigel Lythgoe and his team as part of the winning band, now named Hear'Say.
But the Popstars' rejects hit back and formed the band Liberty in their search for fame and fortune. Recently they were signed to Richard Branson's V2 label as part of a six-album deal.
Now the band has given Hear'Say a run for their money with a public performance at the Kensington Roof Gardens in London.
The group's first single, 'Thinking It Over', is due to be released next month.
